Freelance Collaboration
Gemineo’s doors are always open for competent and reliable specialist translators and proof readers. As our customer base is constantly growing, we are always looking for freelance linguists to support us in terms of translation and quality management.
Your language combination should ideally include English–German, and you should be familiar with the usual CAT tools (or be ready and willing to learn). Any other language combinations are welcome, too! A Trados Studio licence (2015 or higher) is a plus. We select our partners according to ISO 17100:2015.

Are you seeking full-time or part-time employment in a translation agency with Gemineo as a translator or project manager? If there are any vacancies, this will be the place to find out about them. Students, Graduates, and Professional Newcomers
Freshly graduated translators in particular, looking to set up on their own and get a foot in the door on the free market, often have difficulties “translating” what they learned at university into practice. That is why we have our junior freelancer programme. Graduates and professional newcomers with English as their working foreign language can spend a training period of approx. six weeks at the Munich office and get to know the day-to-day translation business, familiarize themselves with the relevant CAT tools, receive detailed, constructive feedback on their translations, and ask us all the things they always wanted to know but were afraid to ask: from why there is a non-breaking space in two-part abbreviations to the difference between the German tax ID for self-employed people, the VAT ID, and the general tax identification number. The aim of the programme is to give the rookies a running start and accept them into our freelancer database as soon as possible with an eye on long-term freelance collaboration—Gemineo being their very first regular customer.
Gemineo also employs student assistants: Students in the second year or higher of a relevant study programme (e. g. at the SDI Munich or the foreign languages institute FIM) are welcome to support our quality management team for approx. 10 hours a week. This will not only result in higher marks in CAT class but may also very well lead to lasting collaboration of some sort even after graduation. Just ask some of our project managers …
